The Universal Pre-K Program 

The Ridgewood YMCA presents NYC’s free Universal Pre-Kindergarten, a quality program five days a week! Children will be in contact with highly qualified, certified teachers and personnel.  Our curriculum places a high priority on creating an environment in the classroom that encourages children to experiment, explore, and pursue their own interests.

For the 2026-2027 year:

3K is for children born in 2023
4K is for children born in 2022

The program runs from 8:15am-2:35pm Monday-Friday, September through June.

Our 3K and 4K programs are located at the Ridgewood YMCA, 69-02 64th Street, Queens, NY 11385. Main number: 212-912-2180.

For the 2025-2026 school year, the Ridgewood YMCA is offering an Extended Day program for currently enrolled 3K and 4K students from 2:35 pm - 6:00 pm. Extended Day is only for those enrolled in the 3K and 4K programs.

Cost: $501/ month
