The Y serves thousands of kids in dozens of quality after-school programs throughout the city. At the YMCA, we are more than just your average after-school. The Y is dedicated to providing high quality, affordable, age-appropriate after-school enrichment for your child when you cannot be there yourself.From time dedicated to homework, arts crafts, team work and character development, healthy living, and so much more - we are POSITIVE that the YMCA is the place for your child this school year!Our curriculum is based on a program model that focuses on learning enhancement, health and recreation, and building competence and confidence in children. The program runs every regular school day, from 2:30 PM to 6 PM, in a supervised and structured environment, providing a safe after school alternative for children. The staff-to-student ratio is 1:10 and the site capacity can range from 24 to as many as 500 children.Y After-school is offered at low cost to parents, thanks to generous support from the NYC Department of Education, NYC Department of Youth & Community Development, federal grants through the 21st Century Community Learning Centers, The After-School Corporation, leading corporations, foundations, individual donors and the Y's Annual Campaign. Ridgewood YMCA After-schoolProgram Hours/ Days: The program operates Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM during the school year from September-June.Grades: Open to K-5th grade only. School Pick-Up Info: Pickup is available from P.S. 88. If your child attends another school, please contact us for more information.Program Fees: 5 days per week: $466/ month. (Financial assistance available)To register: Enrollment opens in August.
