The Staten Island YMCA Counseling Center is seeking a Program Director who will be responsible for ensuring that all necessary day to day fiscal, administrative, and clinical operations are being fully executed by the clinical, volunteer and support staff of the South Shore Center’s Treatment Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for oversight of the day-to-day programmatic, clinical, fiscal and administrative operations.
  • Ensure program wide superior Quality Assurance & Program Quality through contract and regulatory compliance, fulfilling OASAS and agency clinical standards and evidence based/best practices.
  • Develop program census through outreach, coordination, coalitions, and creation/maintenance of strategic partnerships.
  • Research new funding opportunities and develop/implements new program initiatives and program curriculum.
  • Perform all staff/volunteer recruitment, development, supervision, and management responsibilities.
  • Manage unplanned events in relation to staffing, facilities, crises, and general program operation.
  • Deliver direct services & maintain a caseload with accurate, comprehensive & timely record keeping when required.
  • Participate in Association Cabinets, citywide YMCA meetings, Island-wide Y groups, community/statewide coalitions & other groups that deal in the program services area that agency delivers.
  • Develop, coordinates and facilitates educational workshops, seminars and trainings for staff, community and clients.
  • In conjunction with the Senior Program Director, Executive Director & maintenance staff, ensures that the buildings meet requirements for contracts & program services.
  • Develops, maintains & manages program tracking reports including but not limited to census, quality measures, clinician performance.
  • Required to disinfect surfaces & workspace items before & after use.
  • Required to disinfect surfaces that clients come into contact with after each session/meeting (& to log the completion of this task).
  • Assist with disinfecting of communal high touch surfaces.
  • Assist with visitor temperature checks/health declaration completion & documentation.
  • Upholds all Association and Branch policies and demonstrates the values of Respect, Responsibility, Caring and Honesty in the performance of all duties.
  • Other activities and duties as needed that address the ongoing health and well-being of our staff and members.
  • Follow and maintain sanitary habits in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Licensed Master’s Degree in Social Work, LMSW, LMHC.
  • 3-5 years experience in the addiction and/or mental health field.
  • 2 years post-licensure practice experience.
  • Minimum of 1 years of supervisory experience and 3 years of clinical experience.
  • 3-5 years experience in Staff Supervision, Fiscal Management, Financial Development (Annual), Program Planning, Quality Assurance, a plus.
  • Knowledge of Prevention, Treatment, Recovery systems of care; mental health/co-occurring disorders, person centered treatment.
  • Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, child welfare systems, court systems, available resources/referrals, a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
