The Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA is seeking a Tech Lab Program Supervisor who will empower Bedford-Stuyvesant YMCA members, teens, and community with cutting-edge technology skills, fostering creativity, innovation, and a passion for learning. Operate and maintain the full scope of services provided in the media lab including teen programming as well as adult space utilization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement comprehensive tech and media lab programs for teens and adults.

  • Provide leadership to a team of instructors, ensuring a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking within the lab.

  • Stay current with industry trends and incorporate emerging technologies into program offerings.

  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance program impact and relevance.

  • Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.

  • Facilitate and manage studio space and equipment utilization.

  • Maintain safety and security of equipment and software in media lab.


Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Media Studies, or a related field or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience in designing and implementing tech and media programs for teens.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Knowledge of the latest technologies and trends in media and digital development.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
