Through our talented staff and “LEAP” career framework (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Personal Growth), we are committed to a people-first approach that fosters trust, inclusion, growth, and development for all.The Staten Island - South Shore YMCA is seeking an Assistant Program Director who, under the supervision of the Program Director, will supervise program staff in the Carter Center Cornerstone program, implement program components, assist in marketing and outreach, and maintain partnerships with community and sponsoring agencies. They must be able to work both in person and remotely across a variety of platforms.Key Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for the quality and efficiency of the Cornerstone Program. Analyzes statistics, ensure contract compliance and participates in the center's audits. Serves as a cabinet member to the parent agency.Supervise the center's programs, maintenance, specialists, subcontractors, vendors, and volunteers.Hold monthly program meetings to introduce new procedures and to discuss new issues in the field - responsible for the center's policies and procedures.Ensure a high quality of service delivery.Collaborate with leadership staff in development and implementation of staff training component.Represent the center in the community, city, and state agencies.Supervision of professional staff on clinical and programmatic issues.Coordinate the center’s programs with the community needs and resources, and to maintain liaison with other community-based organizations.Consult regularly with various funding sources and with the Program Director regarding program operation.Identify trends for program development.Manage intake along with the Program Director.Conduct program planning and evaluation.Report to the Program Director if a child is at risk and has safety concerns immediately.Keep up with documents updated on a weekly basis.Comply with YMCA, DYCD, DOH requirements, and coordinate quality assurance and quality improvement efforts across programs, if applicable.Maintain accurate and current program files.Desired Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree in field of Education.Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.Knowledge of health-related factors as well as an understanding of current issues and theories of child development.Excellent clinical skills are required.Bilingual in Spanish and English.Benefits:The YMCA of Greater New York offers a variety of benefits to its staff members including retirement benefits, medical, paid time off, free YMCA membership, and more!
