Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring Program

The YMCA’s Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring program supports adults with hypertension in lowering and managing their blood pressure. The four-month program focuses on practicing home self-monitoring of blood pressure readings and individualized nutrition education for better blood pressure management.

Develop strategies for healthier eating habits and controlling blood pressure through diet, and learn about triggers that elevate blood pressure levels while working to reduce your blood pressure and reducing risk for heart attack or stroke.

LiveSTRONG at the YMCA

A free program for adult cancer survivors to achieve their holistic health goals, LiveSTRONG at the YMCA offers a personalized physical activity and well-being program, and provides a supportive community.

Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve goals related to strength, flexibility, and endurance while building confidence. By focusing on the whole person and not the disease, LiveSTRONG at the YMCA helps people move beyond cancer in spirit, mind, and body.
