Outdoor Pool Hours

  • July through Labor Day

  • Monday through Sunday: 10am - 6pm 

*Note: Due to the popularity of the Castle Hill Y’s outdoor pool, the pool will only be available to Castle Hill members. Citywide members are welcome to use all amenities at the Castle Hill Y, with the exception of the outdoor pool.

What to Expect

To participate, please sign up for our Outdoor Summer Membership special, featuring special summer rates. For more information, contact the Castle Hill YMCA branch at 212-912-2490

For group exercise classes, register and pay (if necessary) in advance. All class attendees must pre-register.
--Classes are free for members!
--Non-members are welcome to sign up and pay online per class!

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled class to complete a health screening. Your temperature will be checked, and we'll ask you to review and acknowledge a Health Declaration. Please stay home if you're sick.

Please bring your own equipment – filled water bottle, towel, and any other workout equipment needed for your class (mat, etc.).

Practice social distancing when possible. We've marked out spaces for each class participant. Please stay in your area and maintain distance.

Locker rooms and bathrooms will be open and masks are not required for outdoor activities.

 

FAQ

Are you charging for outdoor classes?
Outdoor classes are free to all members. Please register online in advance for each class. Non-members can continue to pay online per class.

Do I have to be a Y member to take a class?
No, classes are open to everyone! Non-members pay per class.

How do I make a reservation for outdoor classes?
There is a button next to each class on our website that says “Sign Up.” Please click that button to make your reservation and payment (if necessary) online.

How far in advance can I register for a class?
Registration for classes will be open in four week segments.

I can’t register online. Can I still sign up?
Yes, please call the branch if you cannot register online. (If necessary, please leave a message and a staff member will call you back.)

I forgot my password and I can’t get into my online account. What do I do?
You can activate your online account here, or create a new account here. If you still have trouble, please call the branch. (If necessary, please leave a message and a staff member will call you back.)

What is your refund policy?
We will provide refunds if the Y cancels a class. Otherwise, classes are non-refundable.

Do I have to wear a mask in outdoor classes?
No. Masks are no longer required for outdoor activities.

How are you enforcing social distancing during outdoor classes?

What other health measures are you taking?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before class to complete a health screening. All equipment provided by the Y will be cleaned before and after use, and sanitizing wipes will be available. Read more about what to expect.

What if it is too hot or there is bad weather?
We will be in touch, by phone or email, about any cancellations due to inclement weather. You will receive a refund (if applicable) if we cancel a class.

Is child care available during class?
No, child care will not be available. Children are welcome for our family classes, but not during adult classes.

Are you opening for indoor classes?
Indoor classes are only available at branches that resumed membership services.

Are pools open?
