The West Side YMCA is seeking a Sports, Arts, and Movement Director who will be responsible for managing youth, teen, and adult core and enrichment programs at the YMCA, including the overall development, administration, supervision, and evaluation of the programs. The SAM Director will also provide leadership for the Community Arts Department and Theater program. They will focus on maintaining quality programs while raising additional funds to expand programs to meet the needs of the community. Key Responsibilities:Fiscal, government contract, foundation, and corporate grant management. Meet or exceed all contract/program requirements. Plan and create new and innovative youth and family programs that meet the community's needs in accordance with the Branch's priority objectives and strategic plan.Work collaboratively with the branch staff to develop new programs.Recruit, select, develop, train, and supervise staff.Develop and grow community partnerships and create and track a resource referral system for youth and families.Represents the Branch at necessary program cabinets (i.e., YAS, Teen).To successfully maintain and continue to improve the quality of all SAM programs.Become a certified trainer in at least one youth area and lead training events.Desired Skills and Experience:Minimum of one (1) year supervising community-based youth programs and experience developing programs.Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree in social work, education or a related field preferred.Knowledge of development and administration of youth programs, supervision, budget/contract management, and grant writing.Knowledge of AS400, budgeting, public policy, Child Abuse Prevention trainer, CPR/First Aid, RTE trainer preferred.Benefits:The YMCA of Greater New York offers a variety of benefits to its staff members, including retirement benefits, medical, paid time off, free YMCA membership, and more!
