Salary: $17.00 - $40.00 Hourly

The Chinatown YMCA is seeking a qualified Personal Trainer who will recruit, design, and deliver safe, fun, dynamic, and effective personal training sessions while also providing outstanding hospitality to ensure a positive user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver safe, fun, dynamic, and effective personal training sessions, in person or virtually, from the branch.
Provide outstanding hospitality to all members and guests. Outstanding hospitality is acting as a proactive agent by initiating a professional relationship with the members regarding their needs, concerns, and questions and acting as an agent to accommodate the member’s needs/concerns.
Recruit new clients and retain current clients.
Perform client assessments.
Schedule and coordinate client sessions in a timely manner.
Record and report sales and sessions to the supervisor.
Be aware of current fitness programs and trends.
Maintain required certifications, which are tracked in Club Connect.
Utilize the app for scheduling as directed.
Actively participate in training sessions and designated meetings.
Have a thorough knowledge of the branch’s emergency procedures and take appropriate action in emergency situations.
Support community and promotional special events as needed.
Desired Skills & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of One (1) year of experience working in a health and fitness environment.
Current Adult CPR and First Aid certifications.
National Personal Training Certification is required (ACE, ACSM, AFAA, NASM).
Foundations of Listen First.
Knowledge of Orientation to Healthy Living at the Y and Principles of Member Health & Wellness.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
