Community is the cornerstone of the Y. Together, we connect active, engaged New Yorkers to build stronger communities.

To help fulfill our mission, we cultivate a culture of learning, leading, and collaboration to enhance community impact. Through our talented staff and “LEAP” career framework (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Personal Growth), we are committed to a people-first approach that fosters trust, inclusion, growth, and development for all.

The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Director, Analytics & Impact who will serve as a strategic partner to the organization, leveraging data analytics, Salesforce, and a portfolio of system solutions to drive insight and impact. This role requires someone who can work independently, think critically, and maintain a high standard of accuracy and quality in all analytical outputs. The Director will develop a deep understanding of the organization’s operations and data architecture, transforming complex data into actionable information. The Director, Analytics & Impact will oversee the Tableau and Snowflake ecosystem, lead the continual development, evolution, and implementation of the organization’s strategic reporting, monitor organizational KPIs to inform decision-making and strategic priorities, and lead other analyses and projects as needed to support the organization’s mission. By modeling analytical rigor and strategic thinking, the Director will champion innovation and elevate impact measurement across program and service areas. The ideal candidate brings a proactive mindset, strong judgment, and a commitment to producing accurate, reliable, and actionable insights.

  • Lead evaluation of external databases and sources (ex. Census) to identify measures for cultural/socio-economic trends, provide operational insights and trends to branches and departments to help inform decision making.

  • Conduct rigorous analysis with a high standard of accuracy, including validation, quality checks, and clear documentation of methods.

  • Transform raw data into compelling narratives, visualizations, and recommendations that support program evaluation and impact measurement.

Data systems and architecture stewardship

  • Oversee the Tableau and Snowflake ecosystem, ensuring reliable, scalable, and well-governed analytics infrastructure.

  • Manage and optimize the use of Salesforce and other system solutions to support data integrity, reporting, and operational efficiency in collaboration with the data analysts

  • Champion innovation in analytics, introducing new methods, tools, and approaches that elevate impact measurement.

  • Build data literacy across teams by coaching staff, modeling strong analytical practices, and promoting a culture of accuracy and insight-driven decision-making.

  • Manage overall training agenda for the Research, Evaluation & Strategy department to ensure analytics training needs of the organization are met with a focus on Tableau and Salesforce

  • Actively collaborate with SVP and VP, RES, on Organizational Data Strategy
