Community is the cornerstone of the Y. Together, we connect active, engaged New Yorkers to build stronger communities.

To help fulfill our mission, we cultivate a culture of learning, leading, and collaboration to enhance community impact. Through our talented staff and “LEAP” career framework (Leadership, Empowerment, Accountability, Personal Growth), we are committed to a people-first approach that fosters trust, inclusion, growth, and development for all.

The Jamaica YMCA is seeking a Computer Instructor who will provide structured instruction and supervision for computer-based classes and activities. • Organize and maintain program supplies, materials, equipment, and lab spaces.

  • Actively participate in required training sessions, staff meetings, and special events.

  • Foster a positive learning environment where participants remain engaged, collaborate effectively, and develop confidence in technology skills.

  • Communicate regularly with the Program Director to review lesson plans, participant progress, and program goals.

  • Partner with the Program Director and families to support participant growth and development.

  • Report concerns regarding participants, equipment, or facility issues to branch leadership in a timely manner.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
