From family swim to story time, the Y offers programs that brings the family together.
Family Recreational Swim
Supervised recreational swim for families promises to be a terrific time. An adult YMCA member must accompany children to swim time. Swim caps are required at all times. Children 8 years old and younger must be within arm’s length of a parent/adult guardian (18 years and older) in the water. Any child that cannot swim, regardless of age, must be within arm’s length of a parent/adult guardian in the water. Only two children can be paired per adult.
Tickets for family free swim may be obtained 30 minutes prior to start of program at the Welcome Center. Tickets are required in order to participate.
Saturday Morning Story Time
Bring your family to meet our family at our Saturday Morning Story Time. Your toddler will enjoy story time, which will include a reading circle, arts and crafts and a healthy snack. Stop by the Welcome Center for more information.
Here at the Coney Island YMCA we understand the important role that a family plays in a child’s development. Each month we host a family event to reinforce that message with fun-filled activities. Join us and have your family meet our family!
