The YMCA of Greater New York and the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) have partnered to support essential municipal water and wastewater workers through the launch of a scholarship fund to provide these families with the life-changing experience of camp. Help us say thank you, and join our Campaign for Essential Water and Wastewater Workers. We couldn’t survive without the continued service of Water and Wastewater Essential Workers! Along with other essential workers, water and wastewater professionals work tirelessly to help bring all of us the necessary water supply and water resource recovery services so that we can successfully do our part to contain the virus during this pandemic. To ensure their safety, workers have quarantined themselves at work for weeks at a time, isolating themselves from their families to protect everyone from potential infection. We want to make sure our essential water and wastewater professionals are not forgotten and provided with a much needed childcare/family camp experience that will enhance our community.
