New! YMCA Weight Loss Program
Learn how to eat healthier, move more, and lose weight with the YMCA's Weight Loss Program. No gimmicks no restrictive approaches — just the tools you need to achieve your wellness goals.
This program will provide strategies to incorporate nutrition and physical activity into your lifestyle, keep you motivated, and address the obstacles and pitfalls that make losing weight, and keeping it off, a challenge. You'll meet weekly with a small group for one hour in a classroom. This supportive network will help when the going gets tough and celebrate success along the way.

New Member Orientation
New to the Y? We offer a complimentary fitness orientation with one of our staff for all new members as an introduction to our cardiovascular and strength training equipment. No appointments necessary. Please visit the Fitness Center Office at one of the following times:

Y Diabetes Prevention Program
The Y’s year-long program Diabetes Prevention Program focuses on helping those at high risk of developing diabetes change their lifestyles through healthy eating, increased physical activity, and maintaining a healthy weight. Over the course of 16 one-hour classroom sessions, followed by 3 bi-monthly then 6 monthly maintenance sessions (25 classes over 1 year), a trained lifestyle coach teaches participants how to change their lifestyles through healthy eating, physical activity and other behavior changes.

LIVESTRONG at the Y
A free program for adult cancer survivors to achieve their holistic health goals, LIVESTRONG at the Y offers a personalized physical activity and well-being program, and provides a supportive community.
Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to achieve their goals, such as building muscle mass and strength; increasing flexibility and endurance; and improving confidence and self-esteem. In addition to physical benefits, LIVESTRONG at the YMCA focuses on the emotional well-being of survivors and their families by providing a supportive community where people impacted by cancer can connect during treatment and beyond.
Y Fit Start
The Y Fit Start Program is 12 weeks of individual exercise designed for new and returning exercisers. During the 12 weeks, you will have four appointments with a Y Fit Start Coach to provide you with personal attention and extra motivation to help keep you on track.
Y Fit Start provides a structured, sensible fitness routine, gradually adding new exercises at each meeting. These small changes will lead to greater success in achieving your health goals. During this time, you can exercise at the YMCA anytime that fits into your own schedule.
Your Y Fit Start Coach will:
- Review and assist you in developing your own Y Fit Start Plan
- Provide an orientation on fitness center equipment
- Monitor attendance
- Regularly review and update your Y Fit Start Plan
- Discuss options and provide guidance to continue your YMCA exercise experience after program graduation
- Evaluate your Y Fit Start experience

Work one-on-one with our certified nutritionist to learn strategies for healthy eating. Proper nutrition can help increase energy, lower blood pressure and cholesterol and help with weight management and weight loss to ensure that you meet your individual health and wellness goals.

We offer members the benefits of ActiveLinxx, a computerized training system, to track your progress, stay motivated and achieve results. No more keeping track of sets, reps or pounds lifted. By entering seat settings, range of motion, weights and proper timing you will enjoy a more efficient workout. The greatest benefit: you can see your results! Consultations are FREE to members.
