The YMCA is seeking an Application Support Specialist with strong planning, analytical, problem-solving, time-management skills, and customer service skills. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting users across all critical Business Applications with resolutions or escalation, and identifying and coordinating business application optimizations, upgrades and maintenance updates. The Application Support Specialist needs to be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a team. It is important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding support to users across all critical Business Applications, ensuring prompt resolution or escalation when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Help Desk and users to develop high-quality documentation and clear instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve business application issues, including user security and maintenance.
  • Optimize application configurations to align with business processes.
  • Facilitate effective communication between Super Users and Support Vendors.
  • Lead and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for upgrades and patches.
  • Ensure security and legislative compliance within the business applications.
  • Proactively identify and implement software updates compatible with supported web browsers.
  • Collaborate with Help Desk, IT Operations, and external vendors to resolve production issues and escalate technical concerns.
  • Develop and distribute Knowledge Base articles to the Help Desk.
  • Create and update user documentation, guides, and training videos for Business Applications.
  • Other activities and duties as needed that address the ongoing health and well-being of our staff and members.
  • Follow and maintain sanitary habits in accordance with CDC guidelines.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree, relevant technical school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years hands on experience with enterprise application support.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with users directly in a support capacity.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, Oracle, Salesforce and/ or ADP, a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
