About the neighborhood:
Get into the groove in the neighborhood known for its historic (and influential) beats. A significant landmark of New York City culture, the Harlem YMCA is sometimes referred to as the “living room of the Harlem Renaissance,” as it is located in the heart of a rich, diverse cultural, literary, and artistic community. Established in 1901, the Harlem YMCA has remained a cultural steward of Northern Manhattan and continues to serve the area’s multicultural neighborhoods and communities with innovative programs and services that meet the unique needs of the individuals and families that call Harlem home. The neighborhood is constantly evolving and  transforming, but some things never change: from the soul food to the music—from jazz to blues—to the historical architecture, Harlem has soul, character and rhythm that is hard to beat.

Staying Here:

Guests will enjoy clean, air-conditioned single or double rooms, housekeeping, 24-hour security, vending machines, a lounge, and free Wi-Fi.

All guests staying at a YMCA of Greater NY branch will be charged a $10 Daily Guest Room Membership Fee per night, per room, which provides each registered guest with use of the following member benefits:

  • Lap-swimming pool
  • Locker room and showers plus steam and/or sauna
  • Gymnasium
  • Group exercise classes
  • Cardio and weight rooms

Guests must abide by the YMCA Code of Conduct.
